  • ’90 Segundos de Ciência’ Interviews Rodrigo Rodrigues

’90 Segundos de Ciência’ Interviews Rodrigo Rodrigues

The radio show ’90 Segundos de Ciência’ interviewed Rodrigo Rodrigues, a researcher at INESC-ID, professor at Instituto Superior Técnico and one of the CMU Portugal National Directors, to learn more about his research on cloud computing and distributed computing systems.

This research has the potential to enable applications that run on cloud platforms to achieve simultaneously good performance by accessing data in a nearby data center, and the correct semantics that one would expect if the data is stored in a single, centralized location. Furthermore, this research also extends the methods that are currently used in Blockchain technologies to cope with the specific characteristics of cloud environments.

This research was awarded an ERC – European Research Council Grant.
