Green Energy and Smart Converters (GESC) contributes to international research on generating electrical power from renewable sources, and on the transmission, control, storage and use of electrical energy with intelligent technical performance and reduced environmental impact.
Our work focuses on advanced concepts and technologies for renewable energy, including smart power converters, addressing challenges such as electrical energy storage, power quality, smart grids, DC grids, microgrids, solid-state transformers (SST), pulsed power, railway electric traction, electric aircraft and other scientific applications of electrical energy.
